Who Can Join as a Commercial Customer

The Western NL Food Hub offers businesses and organizations of all sizes the chance to easily order from multiple local producers at once. Whether you want to create a single “local brand” dish, or source 100% of your food from farms, fish harvesters, and other producers in your region, the Food Hub can work for you!

Customers include:

  • Convenience and corner stores that are bulk purchasing local food for resale.

  • Institutions (e.g. long-term care facilities) that want to provide high-quality and nutritious food to their patrons, clients, and patients.

  • Restaurants and cafes that want to feature the tastes of Western Newfoundland for their diners and customers.

  • Anyone else who wants large quantities of high-quality local foods without the hassle of coordinating with individual producers.

How to Place a Commercial Order at the Food Hub

Friday to Monday

Place your order on our simple online ordering platform. Orders open Friday morning and close Monday evening.

Choose whatever you want! There are no order minimums or limits, and you get to choose fresh, high-quality products from the week’s producers.

Wednesday

Our producers harvest and package everything into bulk orders on Tuesday. We visit each of the producers to pick up bulk orders on Wednesday and bring everything back to the Western NL Food Hub. There we sort everything into individual customer orders in our safe food handling area.

Each order is stored appropriately so your products stay fresh. Serving you the best quality local products is our number one priority!

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Pick up your order on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at one of our pickup locations (day and time vary by location):

  • Western NL Food Hub (17 Herald Avenue, Corner Brook)

  • GCSU Backlot (Grenfell Campus, 20 University Drive, Corner Brook)

  • Vine Place Community Centre (30 Crestview Avenue, Corner Brook)

  • Birchbark Farm (138 Main Street, Pasadena)

  • Off the Hook Fish Market (37 Old Bonne Bay Road, Deer Lake)

  • Sweet Berry Farms (27 Farm Road, Black Duck Siding)

  • Frontier Cottages and Convenience (50 Route 430, Wiltondale)

We keep your order stored to preserve its freshness until you stop by. We also offer delivery for commercial customers in the Corner Brook area.

Don’t forget to include the Western NL Food Hub in your procurement and menu planning for the following week. Orders open again on Friday.
